Diamond s3 virge driver

The S3/Virge was the successor to the successful Trio64V+. ViRGE/ was pin compatible with the Trio64 chip, retaining the DRAM -framebuffer interface (up to 4MB), and clocking both the core and memory up to 80 MHz. Microsoft used the S3 ViRGE driver as an example of a full-featured video driver (with Direct3D and OpenGL MCD support) in its Windows DDK (Driver Development Kit) and included it also with the final release of the system.  · Diamond Stealth 3D pro (S3 ViRGE -DX ) This is the driver I have, but I don't know if my screen (being old) is compatible with it, it is not the same Mirai company that is around today. I am new to this forum and I'm searching for drivers for Windows XP for my old Diamond Stealth 3D videocard (NOT Stealth II).

We would like to show you a description here but the site won’t allow us. S3's yield problems forced Hercules to hand pick usable chips from the silicon wafers. Combined with poor drivers and the chip's lack of multitexturing support, the Savage3D failed in the market. Savage 3D also dropped support for the S3D API from the S3 ViRGE predecessor. In early , S3 retired the Savage3D and released the Savage4 family. Yeah, S3 Virge - Win2k/XP have generic drivers for it. Even if you get it to work with the generic XP drivers, it may not function as a second head. AFAIK, the "standard VGA device" in XP will do.

I know that this card uses a S3 Virge chipset, so I think that a driver for this chipset would be suitable too. I've searched the database. This page contains the driver installation download for S3 ViRGE DX/GX in supported models (NA) that are Diamond Stealth 3D Pro (S3 ViRGE-DX ). 6 dic Apparently will run on other ViRGE DX cards if the Diamond Stealth 3D driver is used. There is a bad batch of CDs which fail the CD check .
